Taylor Swift on Vinyl – The Complete Collector's Guide (Editions, Variants, Values)
Why Taylor Swift Vinyl Is the Hottest Collector Market of 2026
Taylor Swift is no longer just a pop phenomenon – she's the driving force behind the vinyl comeback. Midnights alone sold over 575,000 vinyl copies in its first US week, breaking the Nielsen record. And because every edition drops limited, color-coded and region-specific, there's a serious secondary market – with prices reaching four to five times retail.
If you want to collect (or sell), here's what actually matters.
The Album Rundown: What Exists, What Counts
Taylor Swift (2006, Debut)
Original Big Machine pressings are rare. The 2016 red vinyl now runs €80–120, sealed higher. Watch out for repressings.
Fearless (Taylor's Version, 2021)
Gold vinyl (standard) around €35–50. The exclusive Fearless Blue (Target US) and the German color variant go for €70–100. Original 2008 Fearless on vinyl? Extremely rare, €300+.
Speak Now (Taylor's Version, 2023)
The limited Orchid Marbled starts at €60, sealed up to €120. Lilac Marbled is the more common variant. Original Speak Now (2010) on Pink Vinyl: €250–400.
Red (Taylor's Version, 2021)
4-LP set, standard red. €60–80. Important: early pressings with a booklet misprint trade at €150+ on Discogs.
1989 (Taylor's Version, 2023)
Four color variants: Crystal Skies Blue, Rose Garden Pink, Aquamarine Green, Tangerine (Target exclusive). Complete set: €250–350. Tangerine alone: €80–120.
Folklore (2020)
Eight deluxe editions with different covers ("in the trees", "betty", "august" etc.) – each limited to 3 months. Complete cover set today: €400–600. Standard beige vinyl: €40–60.
Evermore (2020)
Green Marbled standard, but Signed Editions (with autograph card) sit at €250–450. Warning: lots of fakes floating around.
Midnights (2022)
The final boss. Four standard color variants (Moonstone Blue, Jade Green, Blood Moon, Mahogany) that together form the clock artwork. Complete set: €200–280. Plus:
- Lavender Edition (Target US) – €80–120
- Special Edition "Til Dawn" with 3 bonus tracks – €60–90
- Blood Moon Marbled (highest pressing run) – most common, €30–45
The Tortured Poets Department (2024)
Four editions, each with its own bonus track ("The Manuscript", "The Bolter", "The Albatross", "The Black Dog"). Because every version has an exclusive song, collectors usually buy all four. Set: €180–240.
The Eras Tour Merch Vinyls
The tour dropped exclusive pressings (e.g. 1989 TV Aquamarine Tour Edition). These are the value-holders of 2026 – Aquamarine Tour: €200–350.
What to Watch When Buying
1. Sleeve & booklet matter more than you think. For Swift vinyls the artwork is part of the collector value. A crushed gatefold drops 30–40 %.
2. Signed editions – verify, verify, verify. Only with original Certificate of Authenticity (COA) from Big Machine, Republic or Universal. No COA = worthless.
3. Pressing country. EU pressings (often GZ Media, Czech Republic) and US pressings (United Record Pressing) differ minimally in sound, but EU collectors prefer EU cat. numbers. Check back cover and label.
4. "Sealed" isn't always better. For limited cover editions (Folklore, Midnights) sealed is mandatory for top price. For standard pressings "NM / NM" (Goldmine grading, cover / vinyl) is often worth the same. See our Goldmine grading guide.
5. Fake alert. Bootlegs exist for Folklore cover editions and signed Evermore. Tells: wrong cat. number, missing barcode, blank matrix etching, cheap booklet print.
Where the Value Goes in 5 Years
- Debut & Speak Now originals (Big Machine) – already scarce, expect double in 5 years
- Complete Folklore cover set – still doable, becoming a four-figure grail
- Signed editions with COA – always safe, provided demand holds
- Tour-exclusive pressings – the absolute value-holders as the Eras Tour becomes canonical (and it will)
Selling: What Does the Trade Pay?
At our store we pay fair collector prices for Taylor Swift vinyl – noticeably above general vinyl buy-in. Rule of thumb:
- Standard pressing (NM): 40–60 % of current Discogs median
- Limited color variant (NM/sealed): 60–75 %
- Signed / tour-exclusive: 70–85 % + individual assessment
For rare editions we're happy to write a personal appraisal. Quick check: estimate record value.

Bottom Line
Taylor Swift is currently the most value-stable pop vinyl market. Anyone holding complete cover sets, keeping sealed color variants clean, or securing tour pressings is building a small collector's treasure. Print runs are big – but demand is bigger.
